Glow for It!

Monday, March 30th, 2009 by tcg

Have you seen the Glow costumes? They look like a lot of fun. It’s a black suit with glow sticks attached. When the lights are off you look like a stick woman or a stick man. Frat parties and raves will never be the same. I saw this video over at the Costume Craze youtube channel. It’s pretty neat.

I can see dance teams wearing these to great effect. Even better! Get an army of Glow People to walk down the street at night. You could freak out the general population.

Robin’s Day Out

I met up with a few of the Wolf Pack Elite this afternoon. Superman, Batgirl, Spider-Man, and Captain America met me at the Children’s Museum for a special event for Children’s Hospital. The kids were fantastic. They had a lot of energy bubbling out of them. The children received special photos of themselves in the place of famous faces. We were on hand to play with the kids and take pictures with them if wanted. I got a work out in Elwood City with Arthur and DW’s friends. Some of the children and I ran along with Arthur during his theme song. Batgirl is wonderful with children. They loved her. Brief recap here.

Batman 2.0 Results

Project Rooftop has announced the winners in the Batman 2.0 contest. A coupe of months ago they issued a challenge to artists to create the Batman suit Dick would wear if he won the battle for the cowl. There were hundreds of entries. I’m partial to the designs that are similar to Bat’s costume. I don’t think Dick would change much, if any of the look. Check out the winners.

Who are You?

I am a Doctor Who fan. It started when my dad and I used to curl up in the mamasan and watch Baker’s Who together. While there have been a few missteps in the reboot, generally I like it. If you’re a Who fan and a costume lover this news is for you!

BBC One is offering the chance for fans to be an alien. You must be 18 or older and probably in the UK. Make an alien costume, write up the backstory, and submit your picture to the contest. One winner will perform on the set of Who.

I’m Jealous!

Spider-man rescued an autistic boy in Bangkok. The boy was nervous about attending his first day of school and had climbed onto the ledge. School officials and firemen were having trouble putting the child at ease. His mother told the firemen how much the boy loved superheroes. One fireman darted back to the station and changed into the Spider-man costume. The boy was captivated with Spider-man and followed his instructions to safety. The fire station also has an Ultraman costume for school visits.
