The prop builders at Blue Realm Studios have written a detailed how-to for sculpting your very own Master Chief helmet. The intro includes a list of supplies and tools you will need. Their instructions begin with the negative mold of your head and end with painting your new gear. It’s a thorough account filled with pictures. You can modify their steps for other helmets by changing the shapes and colors. For more information about creating Halo costumes check out the 405th.

It’s only fair I mention some Marvel news every now and then since I so often talk about DC. On Friday, Marvel artists picked their favorite Wolverine costumes. In honor of the upcoming Wolverine movie, I thought I’d share the article with you. Did they like the blue and yellow, brown and yellow, or something else entirely? Here’s a rundown of Wolverine’s most well known costumes.

For those of you that think Logan’s look could still use some work, Project Rooftop has you covered. You have until May 15, 2009, to enter your version of Wolverine’s costume.

Costume Craze has updated their 2009 stock with new Wolverine gear. They have both bone and adamantium claws and more.

Tonight is Chuck’s Season finale. Manny at My Disguises as penned an awesome tribute to John Casey our favorite spy. Check out his Top Ten list of disguises Adam Baldwin has worn on Chuck. It’s a fun show about a regular guy dragged into the spy life. Adam Baldwin portrays one of two government agents assigned to keep the everyman in line and safe.

Adam Baldwin has had a long career in Hollywood. I fell for him back in My Bodyguard. Since then I’ve enjoyed him as Animal Mother in Full Metal Jacket, King in Radio Flyer, and many more roles such as X Files, The Inside, and Independence Day. One of his more popular roles was as Jayne, the merc with a heart, in the Firefly universe. Recently he participated in Ride 2 Recovery in Texas. Check out Chuck and Adam Baldwin on Hulu. Let’s hope for another season of this action comedy with a heart.

Bea Arthur passed away Saturday morning. She was only 86-years-old. Her career spanned more than 50 years and earned her Emmys for both Golden Girls and Maude and a Tony award for Mame. She was always recognized for her tall stature and husky voice. I can her saying, “Rose..” There will never be anyone who crack a line like she could. We’ll miss you, Bea. Thank you for being our friend.

Old Hollywood and Miss USA

The Miss USA 2009 pageant has come and went. While I didn’t watch the broadcast, I did like one particular aspect of this year’s event: the headshots. Usually they have those bright color, big hair, toothy smile headshots. You know what I’m describing, yes? Good. They’re cheesy and unflattering. This year the contestants were glammed up and given the chance to emulate the Golden Hollywood era. There’s a little bit of Ava Gardner and Veronica Lake in these photographs. See Miss West Virginia and more.

Jorge Garcia, beloved Hurley from ‘Lost’, was on the Bonnie Hunt show today. One of their talking points was his love of costumes. Jorge makes his own Halloween costumes. The picture at left shows his perfect Oyster costume. He covered a new toilet seat to make the shell. Pick up a swimming cap at the sports store and you too can be a shiny pearl. Give this fun costume a try. See his Fish Tank Costume
