G.I. Joe Takes the Weekend

Sunday, August 9th, 2009 by tcg

As of the writing of this post, G.I. Joe has earned $56.2 mil and will likely continue to rise. I probably won’t see the G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra movie this month. I’m one of those bitter and stubborn fans of the 80/90s Joes. The accelerator suits and noticeable absence of Lady J break my heart. It’s just not the G.I. Joe for me if Lady J isn’t there (I’m not even sure if the current continuity has her dead or alive).

Once again, I digress. I have G.I. Joe costumes to share with you — this is a costume blog after all. Costume Craze has several of movie inspired costumes in stock now. You can find Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes for child and adult. Their katanas, gloves, and hoods are also available. Shoes are not available for our dueling ninjas, but that’s okay. Socks, sneakers, or even flip flops may be used as long as they are white or black.

The new accelerator suits for both child and adult are just in too. The suits are labeled as Duke costumes, but several of the Joes wear the suits in the movie. You can find all the necessary accessories as well: gloves, boot covers, missile launcher, and helmet.

What movie costumes interest you?

Hi there. I am a graphic designer and I decided this year to make my own GI Joe Duke costume. It is a pretty painless process for others to do. I have created a blog on it. Enjoy!
