Sunny days.
Sweeping the clouds away.
I’m on my way…
to where the air is sweet.
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street?

How many of you know the song? How many of you learned the lyrics to Sesame Street about he same time you learned the ABCs? I’m willing to bet quite a few. I love children’s programming. I don’t know what kind of person I’d be today without such important shows as Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Mr. Wizard, Reading Rainbow, Schoolhouse Rock, and Sesame Street.

It’s a good thing. Sesame Street gave the world one of our greatest heroes, one of our most magnificent examples of courage and determination, and the best gosh-darn monster ever: Grover. Grover is the greatest character to ever walk the sesame flavored street. Super Grover has no match.

Muppets on a costume site? Yes! Even if I pretend muppets/puppets never wear costumes, it’s pretty clear to me that they’re living costumes themselves. The colors. The fabrics. The variety. Beautiful.

Puppets and costumes go hand in hand. Heh, hand…puppet…oi, that’s bad. I’ve toyed with making puppets a time or two. It’s a challenge that rewards you with the oohs and ahs of children of all ages. This holiday shopping season give the gift of puppets. Give The Muppets Make Puppets to the budding puppeteer in your life. Or perhaps the gift of nostalgia and learning with 40 years of Sesame Street.

Have a sunny day.
